Both Sides of the Issue

Two videos with opposing perspectives to get students thinking and talking.

Our Both Sides series makes it easier than ever for teachers to bring balanced lessons on current topics, such as economics, social issues, technology, and policy-making. Each installment includes two short videos with opposing views to grab students’ attention, encourage curiosity, and spark discussion.

Every pairing includes thought-provoking discussion questions to help you lead meaningful conversations and strengthen students’ critical thinking skills. While many issues have more than two sides, we call it “Both Sides” to keep it simple and to get discussions started. You can encourage your students to explore additional perspectives along the way.
