"Warning Labels" Ideas for Further Discussion

1. Many of the warning labels mentioned in this segment seem totally ridiculous, but of course many warning labels are informative and helpful. Where should companies draw the line in assuming what common sense the users of their products will have?

2. Do you think some of the lawsuits that inspired some of the silliest warning labels were justified in the first place? How much responsibility should the user of a product have in using common sense? Should lawsuits of this nature be thrown out of court?

3. What do you think the cost of such lawsuits, and even the cost of so many unnecessary warning labels, adds to the cost of many products? What is the solution?
